Whenever Pete arrived at St. Joseph's Food Pantry, the day got brighter and smiles spread faster than COVID! Pete was not a man to be ignored - his warm smile and mischievous blue eyes were magnetic, He always had a story.
Pete fooled me more than once with wild tales that I should never have believed. But I always believed in the man and he never let me down. I watched as he took on project after project and never gave up when confronted with a need: hams for Thanksgiving; a home for a homeless family; a house delivery of food for a needy family, and so much more. Although we will miss him, he leaves his imprint on all of us. Thank you Pete, Kathy Sabella

My kids and I love seeing Pete every week at the pantry. Always coming in with a smile on his face and a story to tell. I remember one time he went on a 20 minute story about all these things that were just crazy. He had everyone around him, who didn´t know him at the time, staring in awe of everything he had done. Later that day another one of the volunteers came up and said to us "you know all that was just a story right - none of it really happened". All our jaws hit the floor. I will never forget that. He was a good man and loved serving always with a smile.
