I am so sorry to hear about Bob. He was a good person. I knew him in vet school as a classmate and friend. I know from reading other memories that he touched the hearts of a lot of people. God bless him and his family.

Dr. Bearden was one in a million. Kind, compassionate, and honest when you had to ask difficult questions about your fur babies. Friendly yet professional during office visits. The world has lost a great vet and a great man. To his family and to his work family- please know how admired and respected he was by so many people. May he Rest In Peace.

I am heartbroken to hear of Dr. Beardens passing. What a fine man of compassion, love for others and most of all integrity.
A true blessing to have met him. I pray for peace and comfort for his family and hope you find joy knowing he was an example of love to others.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all that loved Dr B. He will always be our vet. He took such great care of my babies, even the ones that others were scared of. I will be forever grateful for all he did for our family. May the lives he touched be a blessing to his family and a legacy that generations to come will never forget. He was loved.

I truly have no words of comfort, only of sorrow and disbelief. Bob was one of the nicest people I've ever known, and I owe him so much for the love and compassion he showed to all of my dogs throughout the years, and so many others as well. The hole in my heart can not compare to the one left in those left behind. My Love, Thoughts, and Prayers are with his Family, Friends, and his Mercedes Place "family". Until we meet again, Bob, Thank YOU. R.I.P, and Gig'Em!!

Dr. Bob was our vet first, then our good friend, my boss for 11 years and finally Trevor´s boss. His devotion, knowledge, compassion, sense of humor and dancing skills will never be forgotten. Our deepest sympathies to his loved ones.

Dr. Bob has been our vet for over 30 years and always had our pets best interest in mind. He would never do something for our dogs that he wouldn't also do for his own. He was kind, loving and cried along with us whenever we had to say goodbye to one of them. I saw him the day before he passed and I never thought it would be the last time I would shake his hand. Rest in peace, friend.

Dr. Bearden was not only my vet but he was also my very close friend. He has been my ONLY vet for as long as he has been practicing and I still haven´t worked out in my mind how we move on without him. We drove our animals 45 minutes, from Benbrook across town to Richland Hills, just to see Dr. Bearden when he was working at Zahn Pet Clinic. I remember how excited I was when he opened his own practice one block from our home, in Benbrook. We always did exactly what he recommended, except once when he said our Bandit wasn´t going to make it and we might need to consider other options. When I said no I can´t do that m, he met me 7 days a week at his office to administer IV´s to keep him alive. After 4 weeks of this he made a remarkable recovery and lived another 2 good years. I remember Dr. Bearden telling me I don´t know how you did that as I have never seen a dog that far gone come back. I quickly corrected him and said you mean you don´t know how WE did that as he never once missed meeting us up there, even on Sunday´s. I know I will never be able to trust another or replace my ONLY vet and friend. That´s very scary for me because my dogs are my children and I am beyond heart broken. They have never seen another vet. Our chart said, "Bearden Only". As upset as I am, I can only imagine what his family & office personnel are enduring over this. Please know my very much heart felt sympathy and prayers are with each one of you. We lost a very, very, honest, good man and vet. None of us will ever find a more compassionate, caring soul to replace him or care for us. Rest In Peace Dr. Bearden knowing how much you were loved by EVERYONE here. There is no one better that will ever fill your shoes! Cindy, Katie, Robert, grandchildren, coworkers, and family...my heart aches with you and I pray for peace and understanding for you during this very difficult time. Just remember you were so blessed to have had the BEST!! We all were.

Dr. Bob we can never ever express our deepest gratitude for your loving care of our fur-children you gave us. From 1988 with our first kitty you have cared from life to the end of six beloved pets. You gave a shoulder to cry on, jokes about our Labs "rib" test and how milk bones are candy bars for dogs. I had so much confidence in your advise, if you told me to click my heels three times before a med dose, I´d do it. My heart breaks for your family, who were so kind to have shared you for emergencies that called you away who will have memories of you and will never know the depth of impact you had on so many who knew you. Not only was your care unmatched, your leadership and character fostered that same in the associates who worked with you. Mercedes was always a welcoming office, not only for the nervous pet-parents but the patients that were put at ease. I always was confident when I asked, "what would you do?" Your answer was honest and trusted. We were so so blessed to have known you, I´m forever grateful for that and the loving, caring legacy your beloved family will always cherish. I know my little ones are standing in line, so happy to see you again, except my Lab Jack and 19 year old kitty Rebel who will jump the line to see Dr Bob again!
Cindy, kids and grandkids, please feel the love and prayers from all who knew him coming your way

Mercedes Place VCA was one of the clinics we used for our pets. Dr. Bearden was one of the first vets that I met there. He was such a kind and compassionate doctor. I didn't know him well, but I always hoped that we would get him when bringing in our pets for treatment. The world is a little less bright with him not in it. God Bless Dr. Bearden and especially his family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Such an exceptional veterinarian! He is the only vet we've ever known who called to check on his patients after starting a medication or havinga procedure. He will be impossible to replace. Maybe we can get close, but there will probably be none who will equal his caring nature. He's probably in heaven now caring for all our previous pets who have gone over the rainbow bridge. We love you, Dr. Bearden!
