Robert Wayne Bearwald

1936 - 2025

Robert Wayne Bearwald, age 89 of Oshkosh, passed away at Park View Health Center on December 24, 2025. Robert was born in Oshkosh on September 23, 1936 to the late Clarence and Clara (Giese) Bearwald. He found his greatest joy on February 7, 1959, when he married the love of his life, Mary Young, together creating a beautiful legacy with four beloved children.

Robert proudly served in the United States Army and dedicated more than 30 years of his life as a talented machinist at Mercury Marine before retiring in 2000. His passions included fishing, taking care of the birds in his neighborhood, and enjoying countless rounds of bowling.

Robert is lovingly survived by his wife, Mary Bearwald; children, Rob (Lisa) Bearwald, Beth Bearwald, Vicki (Dave) Goyke and Andy Bearwald; grandchildren Kaelea Bearwald and Brett (Kelly) Tovar; great-grandchild, Owen Tovar; brother, Dave (Eunice) Bearwald.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his siblings, Orland Bearwald and Betty Hinz.

A funeral service for Robert will be held at Lake View Memorial Park, 2786 Algoma Blvd. on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 11 am, officiated by Pastor Dave Goyke. Visitation will be held in the chapel from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial with Military Honors will take place immediately after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial contributions made in Robert's name to the Park View Health Center Therapeutic Wellness Department, 725 Butler Ave., Oshkosh, WI 54901. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Park View Health Center, especially Missy, Carolyn, and Kaylie, for their compassionate care.
