Robert Beattie Obituary
Born in Paterson, New Jersey, Mr. Beattie resided in Little Falls before moving to Georgia over 50 years ago. After the closing of the family business, Beattie Carpet Mills, Robert continued in the carpet industry in Georgia under the name of RW Beattie Carpets.
He was a 1958 graduate of Georgetown University of Washington, DC and served his country in the US Army Reserves for six years, based out of Fort Meade in Maryland.
He is predeceased by his wife, Audra (nee Profair) in 2013; by his parents, John A. Beattie, Sr. and Helen (nee Donnelly) Beattie and by his two brothers, John A. and Gordon Beattie.
Survivors include his devoted care giver, Kay Wilson of Dalton, Ga.; his four sons, Christopher, Darren, Robert and Charles Thomas Beattie and several grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Mount Hebron Cemetery, 851 Valley Road, Upper Montclair, NJ 07043.
