Robert Lynn Beek

May 29, 1948-November 11,2025

Robert (Bob) Beek was the third child of Mary Evelyn Tinsley Beek and Lorenz Emil (Larry) Beek, arriving as a ten-pound, red-haired wonder.

He was his own person even as a small child, engaging and entertaining to be with.

Bob attended Cheyenne Wells Parochial grade school though 8th grade, then entered Cheyenne Wells High School. He participated in football, basketball, track, wrestling, and band. Bob was an alter boy in the local Catholic church. As a child he would get away from his parents, crawl under the pews and appear on the alter, causing his mother to wonder if he would be a priest.

Bob took part in various sports and hobbies. He loved softball, goose hunting, fishing and water skiing…. which was always in his speedo suit. Over the years, he owned a number of registered horses, which he affectionately referred to as "his girlfriends." He loved the art of silver smithing, making unique jewelry for many people.

Bob had many friends as he loved to visit and was always ready to help in times of need. In a very quiet way, in times of trouble and sorrow he eased people with much kindness as he gave of himself.

At a young age Bob married Judy Sidebotttom, his high school sweetheart. To this union were born two sons, Brock Robert and Justin Travis. The family made their home in Cheyenne Wells where Bob began cutting meat at the local grocery. He later decided to start farming and ranching with his father.

Bob had a unique personality, marching to his own drum. He was opinionated, stubborn, kind, generous, and known as a real character, with many acquaintances and friends. He also had many names including Bob, Bobby, Robert and of course "HEAVY".

He will be missed by many. Everyone will remember his western mustache and wearing shorts with cowboy boots. The farm and ranch will always be remembered as "Ranch Starvo".

Bob is survived by his sons, Brock, (Shellie), Justin, (Deana), five grandchildren, Morgan, (Drew) Bullard, Michaela, (Tyler) Bull, Logan, (Audrey) Beek, Landon Beek, and Tyler Ramsey. Seven great grandchildren, Olivia, Rosie Bullard, Liam, Ezra, Lucy Bull, Carson and Amelia Ramsey.

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Tyler Ramsey.
