Robert Bell Obituary

PHILIPSBURG - Robert R. "Bob" Bell, Jr., 63, of (South) Philipsburg, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, at his residence.

Bob was born on Oct. 9, 1962, in (North) Philipsburg, a son of Judith L. "Judy" (Buck) Bell, of (South) Philipsburg and the late Robert R. "Bob" Bell.

He was a graduate of the class of 1982 at the Philipsburg –Osceola Area High School.

He was an U.S. Army veteran.

He was currently employed as a truck driver for HRI, Inc., State College.

He was very active in numerous veterans and community organizations throughout the area. His memberships included: a member and officer of the AMVETS Post #159 and the Moshannon Valley Veteran's Memorial Wall, both of Philipsburg; the Fraternal Order of Eagles #812, VFW Post # 1785, the Chinklacamoose Clearfield Co. Chapter ABATE of Pa. and the Moose Riders (where he was also an officer), all of Clearfield; the Slovak and the Lithuanian Club, both of Osceola Mills; the Mosquito Creek Sportsmens Association, of Frenchville; the L.O.O.Moose Lodge #1565, the Sons and Daughters of Italy, the Young Democratic Club and the 40 & 8 Club, all of Clarence; the American Legion Post # 442, Renovo; Citizen's Hose Co. # 28, of South Renovo and the Central District Volunteer Fireman's Association.

Among his favorite pastimes, he loved to ride his motorcycles and volunteer for various clubs and organizations throughout the area. He was also well known as the "ticket guy." It seemed that he was always selling tickets or chances for one organization or another.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Edward Bell, in addition to his father.

He is survived by a daughter, Ashley Bell, of Philipsburg; a son, Robert T. Bell, of Arkansas; three grandchildren: Robbie, Elliot and Wyatt; two brothers, Jeffrey A. Bell and Scott A. Bell and his wife, Dana, all of Philipsburg; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members. He had a special bond with a niece, Brittani Bell, and her daughter, Braylee "Flea," both of Philipsburg.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025, at 11 a.m., at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 719 E. Spruce St., Philipsburg, with the Rev. John T. Dill, officiating.

The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, from 2-5 p.m.; and on Monday, from 10 am until the time of the service.

Interment will be in Philipsburg Cemetery.

Military Honors will be accorded graveside.

Friends and family will be invited for a luncheon at the Philipsburg VFW following the burial.

Memorial contributions may be made in Robert's memory to the Moshannon Valley Veteran's Memorial Wall.
