Bergford, Robert Christopher

Age 59, of St. Louis Park, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025, after a lengthy illness. Preceded in death by mother Beverly. Rob was born January 24, 1966, in Minneapolis, MN. A graduate of Southwest High School in Minneapolis, Rob developed a successful career from his passions: music, antiques, and real estate. He was a widely-sought-after tuner and restorer of the King of Instruments, the pipe organ (he could also play, but he was modest about that). He collected, bought and sold a variety of pieces of furniture, paintings, and other objects, with particular interest in items from the18th century. Not only appreciative of their aesthetic qualities, Rob could tell you the story behind each piece, so he was also very much an art historian. Rob had a keen eye for the potential in properties, homes, and the spaces within. In addition, Rob was an excellent baker, and his family and friends always enjoyed his creations. Survived by father John Jr., brother John III (Dana), nephews (Rolf & Simon), and many other relatives and friends. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 17, at Lake of the Isles Lutheran Church, 2020 West Lake of the Isles Parkway, Minneapolis. Visitation one hour prior at the church. Interment Lakewood Cemetery Garden Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lake of the Isles Lutheran Church Organ and Music Fund, or Donor's choice.
