I grew up next door to the Bertelsons. Bob's father Harold went to school with my parents, at Grand Rapids Central High School, and he was best man at their wedding.

Their family and ours bought their next door houses when built new, and remained friends and neighbors for over 45 years, until Bob's mother Mary died.

May his memory be eternal, and his family and friends be thankful for their good memories of Bob.

Peace to Pam and children. Loved having Bob as my Fed Ctr supervisor. He always had a smile and words of encouragment. One of few that encouraged debate and welcomed ideas from all. Kind leader by example, fellow Air Force soldier, lover of music and fun, and most of all I call him friend! So very saddened and will truely miss Bob.

Pam and family our thoughts and prayers go out to you during this difficult time. Bob was Keith's boss and mentor during his later years at the Federal Center where they created a great friendship that would continue on throughout their years together in the Pennfield Exchange Club. Their was a great admiration between the two of them and they so enjoyed telling their stories to one another. Through this great smiling man we met an equally special woman in Pam. Such a joy to know you both. May your memories fill your hearts and keep you at peace as you make the continued journey. Take Care

Bob was my supervisor at the Federal Center while I was in Cataloging. He was a great guy. We both also served at the Air Guard Base, but we served there at different times. Maybe that's why we got along so well. I later found out that his wife, Pamela, had been my sister Julie's teacher at the Ann J. Kellogg School many years ago. Bob was definitely one of the good guys. He will be missed.
