Robert Berube Obituary
Robert Berube, born October 22, 1943 joined our heavenly father on September 20, 2025. The son of Francois Bertrand Herminigile Berube aka "Pete" and Maria St. Pierre Berube of Fall River, MA, he was predeceased by his parents, 8 siblings, and wife of 60 years, Regina Deshaies Berube. He is survived by his five children, their spouses, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Robert was known as a family man, a salesman, and a storyteller. He served his Lord Jesus Christ and community as Deacon at Our Lady of Mercy Church in Plainville. He ministered to the community with compassion, empathy and unwavering faith. He believed strongly in building relationships, providing for his family and strengthening the community. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad Street, Plainville, CT. A mass of Christian burial will be held on October 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 19 South Canal Street, Plainville, CT with a burial to follow at St. Joseph's cemetery, 151 Farmington Avenue, Plainville. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Monsignor Bojnowski Manor, 51 Pulaski Street, New Britain, CT 06053. To leave a message of remembrance, please visit www.BaileyCares.com.

I first met Bob when he was a member of the Plainville Toastmasters. The group met at 7::0 pm every Monday-night at my familys's
business, "Walko's Restaurant" I was their waitress and had the opportunity of meeting all of the members, Bob being one of them. Our paths later crossed when I moved back to Plainville and attended Our Lady of Mercy Church. Bob remembered me when I greeted him after one Sunday mass. We became good friends after that, enjoying many, many lengthy conversations. There was always so much to talk about. He had such spiritual wisdom.. Bob will be missed by all whose lives he touched.

I am so very sorry for this great loss to the family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. He is now dancing in Heaven with his beautiful Bride. He will always be close to my heart. He was like another Father to me as a child. My Dad n Mom loved him so much as well. My Daddy is happy to have his buddy with him.
