Robert P. "Robbie" Bigelow

Robert (Robbie) Pye Bigelow, 84, of Londonderry, NH passed away on Thursday February 5, 2026, at Hanover Hill Healthcare Center in Manchester, NH. Bob was born October 9, 1941, in Concord, NH and was a son of the late Lyman W. Bigelow, Jr. and Josephine (Pye) Bigelow.

Bob earned a business degree from Burdett College and went on to build a career spanning more than 50 years as a truck driver. His work took him across this country, offering him the opportunity to experience countless places from behind the wheel, an aspect of the job he truly appreciated. In his spare time Bob enjoyed reading mystery novels and was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics. Whether immersed in a book, or cheering his favorite team, he found simple pleasures that brought his lasting happiness.

Bob is remembered by those who knew him as intelligent, soft spoken, loving and occasionally feisty. His quiet strength and thoughtful presence left a meaningful impact on many lives.

Members of the family include his loving wife of 52 years, Kathleen M (Joyce) Bigelow. Together they raised their daughter, Karen Anne Bigelow, and later found joy in their grandchildren, Mackenzie Anne Bigelow and Joseph Coleman Bigelow Harnois. He is survived by sisters-in-law Jean Joyce and Diane Joyce as well as many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by a brother Lyman, and sister, Phyllis Hoar and her husband Kenneth. Brothers-in-law, William M Joyce and Richard J. Joyce and a nephew, Michael A. Joyce.

After cremation, Robert's family will hold a graveside service and committal of his cremated remains at Pillsbury Cemetery of Londonderry in the spring. The Peabody Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choosing.
