We have been friends with Bob & Lynn for over 50 years. I grew up with Lynn and my wife, Sandy , met both Lynn and Bob as a teenager working at Stop & Shop on Mill Street in Worcester, Ma. We both attended their wedding. Bob of course, was a Captain in the State Police, Troop Commander and one of the brightest people I´ve ever known. We had many spirited discussions over politics, sports, and the law. We watched many Red Sox and Patriots games together over various beers. He always had a fine selection of imported beers and would sometimes razz me as I resorted to my Coors Lights. We enjoyed many visits with Lynn and Bob in their various homes in Rye, NH, Cape Cod, Florida, and Massachusetts. Bob was a great host and a fine cook, but always the cop, it was difficult to persuade him from his favorite TV show NCIS. Bob was also a great lover of music and as I think back, had some of the most impressive collection of music and stereo equipment of anyone I ever knew. Bob, it was great to see you have the honor of pinning the badge on your niece, Leah, as she graduated recently from the State Police Academy. I´m glad we had the chance to speak on the phone recently as getting together has been difficult. Rest In Peace old friend. I hope you save me a cold beer when we meet again.

Bob was such a part of our family. He started dating Lynn when I was a very young teenager. She was so nervous to date him at first because he was" so much older" (four years...lol). Obviously it worked out just fine since they were married for 52 years. Bob was graduating the State Police Academy about the time Lynn graduated College. I remember Bob sleeping on our couch in Worcester so often after working the midnight shift so they had more time to see each other. He was a fixture, laying on the couch with his leg slung over the back of the couch. I can still see it in my head. Bob taught me how to drive. He borrowed his brother's car for me to take my driving test with. I was thrilled when I'd been driving for a little while and he let me drive his brand new blue Camaro numerous times! (hmm I wonder if that had anything to do with my loving to drive fast). Leah and I are so glad he was able to come to her graduation from the State Police Academy. He was able to pin her when it was her turn to receive her badge. A proud moment for them both! We will remember all the memories in between fondly. I'm sure he will be keeping watch over Lynn from above. She will surely miss him, as will we. Rest In Peace Bob!
