Obituary

Bishop Robert M. Blue, Sr., Chief Prelate

Blue Dove Ministries Fellowship

“Blessed are they that Mourn: for they shall be comforted” Matthew 5:4

Bishop Robert M. Blue, Sr., 68, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Jamelle F. (Pace) Blue.

Robert Monroe Blue, Sr was born in Clinton, NC, on June 9, 1957, the son of the late Willie Narrow and Alice Vann Blue. He was brought to church (Union Grove Disciple Church, Clinton, NC—Pastor McLarnin) and nurtured by both his parents and spiritual men and women of God in his home church. He served diligently in various areas of the church.

Minister Robert M. Blue. Sr., served the Community Baptist Church, (pastored by the late Clarence E. Bolling), until the Lord moved him to Waterbury, CT. He was also the Vice- President of the Men’s Ministry and The Male Chorus for many years. As a student at the Narrow Way Bible School, with his administrative and organizational skills, and with the permission of the President, he organized the Narrow Way Bible School (NWBS) student body organization, which is still in existence today. He remained faithful to his charge until the Lord launched him out as a visionary of a great church ministry - Blue Dove Ministries, Inc, which he started in his home in 2002.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Nyack College, and Morgan State University, a Bachelor of Religious Education from the Anchor Theological Seminary—Texarkana AR. He also earned certificates in theological studies from Bethel Seminary of the East, Christian Love Tabernacle, and Narrow Way Bible Institute. He was also a dedicated and devoted Sales Consultant in the automobile industry. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family.

In his younger years, Robert Blue was an outstanding athlete while attending Clinton High School. He was captain of the basketball, football, baseball, and golf teams. He liked to watch sports in his spare time and have conversations about the games. He also enjoyed going out to dinner, driving his Mercedes, and running errands when he could. He was a very hard worker in his church, his sales position, for people and mostly for God.

Besides his loving wife, Jamelle, of 33 years, left to honor and cherish his memory are his sons; Robert M. Blue, Jr., and James V. Blue of Waterbury, CT, his siblings; Edward C. Blue, Willa D. Robinson, and Eliza J. Vann, all of Clinton, NC. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members. He was predeceased by his siblings, Esther Pearl Pope, William A. Blue, Elizabeth Speller, Annie J. Blue, Ruth William Rich, and Maddie B. Law.

He was truly an anointed man of God who loved God and loved souls. It was his desire to fulfill the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ “Go ye into all the world and preach and teach on how to make it to Heaven. May his memory be a blessing and his legacy live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
