Hoff Funeral, Cremation Service & Celebration of Life Ctr - Winona/GoodviewRobert “Bob” Adolph Anderson, age 74, of Fountain City, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at his side, at Emplify (Gundersen) Medical Center in La Crosse, WI, after a courageous battle with kidney failure, heart failure, COPD, and diabetes.
Bob was born to Adolph and Lucile Anderson in Zumbrota, MN, and grew up in Maiden Rock, WI. He graduated from Zumbrota Senior High School, and went on to attend the Winona Area Technical Institute (now Minnesota State College Southeast). His courses of study were Auto Body, Auto Mechanics I and II, Welding, and Truck Driving. In 1972 he married the love of his life, Belinda Keeler. He enlisted in the Army reserves in 1977, and then later in the National Guard. Bob and Belinda moved to the Fountain City, WI area and raised two sons, Bob and Craig. Bob retired from the military after 20 years of honorable service in 1997.
One of Bob’s accomplishments was building his family home in rural Fountain City with the help of his brother, Tim.
Over the years, Bob had several jobs, including: Winona Family YMCA, Badger Foundry, Kendell Door and Hardware, Lewiston Auto, and Wagnild Chevrolet.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, James, Marlene, John, Timothy, and Linda.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Belinda; sons: Bob, and Craig; grandchildren: Shannon Rinehart, Megan Rinehart, Macayla Anderson; bonus grandchildren: Michael Boos, and Erin Boos; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
A memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at Hoff Celebration of Life Center in Winona. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:00am prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Fountain City Public Cemetery.
