Robert (Bob) Leo Coffee of Newkirk, OK passed from this life on November 9, 2025, in Ponca City, Oklahoma at the age of 88 years old. Robert was born to Mary Alice and Leo Coffee on January 5, 1937, in Blackwell, OK. He grew up on the family farm. Bob always loved to hunt and fish even during his childhood.
He graduated from Newkirk High School and attended 2 years NOC in Tonkawa studying Mechanical Engineering. On June 22, 1958, he married the love of his life, Rosie Simanek.
Bob served his country as a soldier in the US Army and received an honorable discharge. He worked in Research and Development at Conoco for 44 years. During this time, he received multiple patents and awards for what he accomplished at Conoco.
He had a servant’s heart and would do anything for anyone. He was famous in the area for his woodworking skills and donated most of his work to others. He was a long-time member of the First Christian Church in Newkirk, Oklahoma.
Robert is survived by his wife of 67 years, Rosie Coffee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Jerry Michael Coffee.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at the First Christian Church in Newkirk on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. Burial to follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
Services and Interment Care are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.
