Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions - North Dayton ChapelRobert "Bob" W. Dawes, age 76 of Huber Heights, Ohio passed away Sunday, August 10, 2025. He was born June 12, 1949 in Boston, Massachusetts.
Bob served and retired from the United States Army after 24 1/2 years of service. He also retired from Kettering City School. Bob also loved watching the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics, and Boston Bruins. Bob was a member of the VFW post 3283, AMVETS Post 464, and Kettering VFW Post 9927 Honor Guard. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Linda Dawes; brothers, Ernest Jr, Donnie, and Roy; and sister, Dottie.
Bob will be missed by his wife of 41 years, Sally; daughter, Michelle; son, Bobby; grandchildren, Zoey, Emma, Harper, Bobby II, Ashleigh, and Kahlan; great grandchildren, Carmine, Lucas, Wyatt, Theodoros, and Athanasias; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 10:30am to 11:30am at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. A funeral service will begin at 11:30am with burial to follow at Dayton National Cemetery.
