Robert “Bob” Allen Loats, 64, passed away at home on December 3, 2025. Born on May 12, 1961, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Bob was the beloved son of John and Maxine Loats and much loved brother and friend to many.

He is survived by his siblings: Tom (Tena), Kathy Powell (Tom Carpenter) and Bill (Tamara) and many nieces and nephews, who will forever carry with them the many memories, traditions, and laughter they shared. Bob now joins his loving parents in heaven.

His family moved to Kansas City in 1966, where Bob would call home for the rest of his life. He built a long and meaningful career at Burke Industries, where he crafted a wide range of furniture with skill, pride, and attention to detail. A dedicated, reliable, and highly valued member of the team for more than 35 years, Bob remained with the company until its closing in 2021.

A man of simple pleasures, Bob found joy in many things: cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals, tending to his fireplace, splitting firewood, spending time with his family and friends, and caring for his beloved cats. He enjoyed scratching crossword lottery tickets and listening to his stereo!
