Robert Kevin "Bob" Obritsch
DICKINSON - Robert Kevin "Bob" Obritsch, 68, of Dickinson, North Dakota, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023 at CHI St. Alexius, Bismarck. Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dickinson, on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. MDT with Father Justin Waltz officiating. Graveside and burial services will be at St. Pius Cemetery, Schefield, ND.
Visitation for Bob will be 6 – 7 p.m., Friday, July 21 at Stevenson Funeral Home with rosary and vigil held at 7:00 p.m.
Robert was born on December 15, 1954 in Dickinson, North Dakota, the 7th of 12 children born to Andrew and Viola Obritsch. He attended grade school and high school in South Heart, ND. He farmed and ranched with his older brother, Ronald, on the family farm until his death.
Bob lived a single life as a farmer devoting his time to dairying until 2002 and beef cattle thereafter. He and his brother, Ronald, spent many years together raising beef and dairy cattle, putting up hay, and planting and harvesting their crops. He was quiet and spent most of his time to himself on the farm reading the Bible and keeping up with ongoing news and weather. He enjoyed gardening and took great interest in flowers.
Grateful to have shared his life are his brothers and sisters, Marcella Riecken , Sheridan, WY; Markus (Joan), Dickinson; Harvey (Kathleen), Gladstone; Ronald (Georgia), Dickinson; Andrea Hintz (Frank), Dickinson; Sandra Fischer (Larry), Bowman; Dr. Jerry (Nancy), Bismarck; Wesley (Julie), Lanesboro, MN; Kelly Bredeken (Dean), Blaine, MN; Mary Smith (Quentin), Hudson, WI; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Viola, and one brother, Richard, who died 30 years ago on the same day.

Bob was a good person and classmate to be around. Yes, he was quiet, but that was good! I do remember his nice smile especially! My heartfelt sympathy to all of his family and you are in my prayers. May God grant Bob eternal rest.
