Pagenkopf Funeral HomeRobert (Bob) Andrew Simmons, age 84, passed away on November 6, 2025. Bob was born in Chicago, IL on November 26, 1940 to Robert W. and Dorothy Simmons.
Bob is survived by his children Robert M. (Nicole) and Michelle (Tim) Niemuth; grandchildren Morgan, Ian, Craig and Paul; step-grandchildren Jayden and Gianna; sister Christine (Doug) Rideout; along with nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his wife Gerri, his parents, his brother Tom, and his sister-in-law Barb.
Bob leaves behind a lifetime of sarcasm and memories. He had a love of the outdoors. Living by the lake and enjoying time at the camper brought him great joy. He and Gerri spent many summers at their permanent campsite at Crocketts in Lyndon Station. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting. As he got older, he took up the hobby of woodworking, creating many amazing pieces which he shared with his family. Most of all, he loved his wife, children, and grandchildren unconditionally.
Bob was a proud Air Force Veteran. He served from 1958 to 1962 with duties in England, North Africa and the United States. Therefore, in lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob’s name may be sent to the Wounded Warriors Foundation or K9s for Warriors.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Three Pillars Masonic Health Care Center, as well as to the staff at Heartland Hospice for their care and support of Bob, as well as the family.
A service will take place on November 22, 2025 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066). Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm with service and luncheon to follow.
