Mr. Robert “Bob” Edward Wright
Aiken, SC—A celebration of life service for Mr. Robert “Bob” Edward Wright, age 88, will be held 2:00 pm on Friday January 31, 2025, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charlie Kelly officiating. Interment will follow at the Wright Family Cemetery, Aiken. Pallbearers will be Bobby Griffin, Justin Knight, Stuart Wright, Brett Blevins, Eric Barrantes, and Christopher Wright. Military honors will be accorded by the US Army. Mr. Wright entered into rest on Sunday January 19, 2025, at his residence. He was the beloved husband of Mrs. Barbara Hurt Wright and a son to the late Mr. Gains Earl Wright and the late Mrs. Eunice Turner. Mr. Wright was a native and lifelong resident of the Aiken area. He was a Christian and attended the Warrenville Revival Center, Warrenville. Mr. Wright was a hardworking man, who worked for Universal Sheet Metal on Pine Log Rd, Sig Cox Heating and Air, Columbian Nitrogen/Austin Industries in Augusta for 20 years, as well as RAMCO in Saudi Arabia for 6 years, retiring in 1987. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and farming. Mr. Wright was loved by his friends and family and will be deeply missed. Additional survivors include: one son Stuart K. Wright, Aiken; one daughter Kathy J. Blevins, Aiken; one daughter-in-law Mary Brown Wright, Aiken; five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. Mr. Wright was preceded in death by: one son Billy Nathaniel Wright; one brother Henry Wright; two half-brothers Willie and Lewis Snipes; one sister Ruby Wright; and one grandson Skyler Wright. A visitation with the family will take place from 6-8 pm on Thursday January 30, 2025, at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175.
