Robert "Bobby" William Smith

     Robert “Bobby” William Smith, age 53 went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Mission Hospital.

     Bobby was born July 31, 1972, to Sandi Silvers Butler. Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lillian Crawley Silvers of Forest City, and Robert “Bob” and Margaret Silvers of Chesnee, SC. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-father, Ray, one son, Caden Smith and his mother, Jami Toms. Two sisters, Kim (Kenny) Hamrick of Boiling Springs, NC and Kelly (Keith) Scruggs of Mooresboro, NC. Three brothers, Gary (Melissa) Woods of Portland Oregon, Johnny (Michelle) Franklin of Ellenboro NC and Mike (Bridget) Franklin of Nebo NC. A number of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

     Bobby loved his family, North Carolina Tar Heels Basketball and Christmas. Bobby was a friend to everyone that met him and he touched the lives of many.

     Celebration of life service will be held Friday, September 12, 2025, at 3:00 pm, at Caroleen Baptist Church, 205 Spencer Street, Ellenboro, NC 28040, with Rev. Brian Melton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

     In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Davita Dialysis of Rutherford County, 226 Commercial Dr, Forest City, NC 28043 or to The National Kidney Foundation.
