Robert S Bollman

Robert Scott Bollman, 58, of Charlottesville, VA was born on October 24, 1967 and went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on January 27, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Betty and Bob Bollman, his cousin Duane Vollmer, his father-in-law, Michael Gibson, Sr and brother-in-law,Michael Gibson, Jr.

Born and raised in the suburbs of the Detroit metropolitan area, he was a proud Michigan native who carried his love for home wherever life took him. He graduated from Temple Christian School, where he was a three-sport athlete in soccer, basketball, and baseball, and was honored as Homecoming King. He went on to earn his Respiratory Therapist degree from Pitt Community College in Greenville, NC and later graduated from Spring Arbor University in Dearborn Michigan with a concentration in Hospital Administration. For the last 20 years of his career, Scott was a technical recruiter.

A devoted husband, he married his high school sweetheart, Jen, and together they shared 34 wonderful years of marriage. He was a proud father to Sam and Jake, and cherished his time coaching their T-ball and soccer teams in both Michigan and Virginia.

A lifelong fan of University of Michigan football and basketball, Detroit sports were his passion no matter where he lived in the country. He honorably served his country as a United States Marine during Desert Storm, where he formed a lifelong friendship with his best friend, Joe Brunt, and wife, Kathy Brunt.

While many knew him for his humor and love for Michigan sports, the true foundation of Scott's life was his faith in Christ.

He is survived by his loving family: wife, Jennifer, sons Samuel and Jakob, mother-in -law Jeanine Gibson, Aunt Edith Vollmer and cousin Vicki (Vollmer) Button and her family, cousins in Princeton and Broken Arrow, OK.

Special thank you to Dr Dylan Gonzales, Neurologist at UVA Hospital who took the time to really listen and guide us through Scott's diagnosis of MSA Parkinsonism and to the Hospice of the Piedmont for their respect and dignity of care they provided in our home.

A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Chapel on February 19, 2026 at 12 noon, located at 650 Battlefield Pkwy SE, Leesburg VA 20175.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Tunnels to Towers. This is an organization that helps support the families of first responders and veterans.
