Robert J. Bonia

Robert J. Bonia, age 86 of Saugus, passed away on Friday, May 10th at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. He was the husband of the late Joan (Dewling) Bonia with whom he proudly shared 69 years of marriage.
Born in Malden and raised in Malden and Revere, Mr. Bonia was the son of the late Edward F. and Eva (Arsenault) Bonia. Bob loved heavy equipment and cars and enjoyed building his business. He loved animals and raising dogs. A resident of Saugus for 62 years, Robert enjoyed his time wintering in Florida.
Mr. Bonia is survived by his three children, Robert J. Bonia, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Saugus, Gail Bonia of Saugus and Dianne Bonia of Stoneham; twelve grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two sisters, Frances Paulding of Topsfield and Margaret Spallone of Lynn; and one brother, Stephen Bonia of Middleton. He was predeceased by his son Mark Bonia; daughter, Joan Sousa; 2 grandchildren; one brother, Michael James Bonia; and two sisters, Madeline Stuart and Mary O'Toole.

SERVICE INFORMATION
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., Saugus on Monday from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. followed by interment in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
