Robert Bourque Obituary
Bob was born on January 11, 1938 in Holyoke, Massachusetts to the late Valmore and Cecilia Bourque. He grew up in South Hadley, Massachusetts and graduated from South Hadley High School having played varsity sports all four years. After high school, he joined the United States Army, Green Berets, and later built a successful career as a land developer which brought his family to Western Kentucky.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Valmore W. Bourque.
Those he lovingly leaves behind include his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Elizabeth (Betsy) Bourque; a daughter, Leslie and a son, Robert Bourque (Phara). In addition, he leaves behind grandchildren, Bret Manning, Bron, Hollis, Canyon and Grierre Bourque, as well as two great grandchildren.
Private family services will be held.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House, 803 Poplar Street, Murray, KY 42071.
