Robert Kerry Bowman, known to most as Kerry, passed away on December 15, 2025. He was born on August 18, 1957, in Savannah, Georgia.
Kerry was known for his strong faith and his welcoming nature. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Laurel, where he enjoyed greeting others on Sunday mornings and inviting people to church. His faith was an important part of his life and something he freely shared.
Kerry enjoyed staying active, spending time with his dogs, and cooking. He also loved to read, with Charles Stanley being a favorite author.
He is survived by his sister, Valerie Murphy; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his church family. Kerry was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Kay Frances (Forbes) Bowman; his brother, James Bowman; and his sister, Laurie Lahann.
Kerry wanted others to know that God came first in his life and that they should not worry for him, as he would be in a better place. His memory will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
