Robert Jude "Bob" Brassil

Robert Jude Brassil "Bob", 66, of Charlotte passed from this world into heaven on Saturday, April 29, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 31, 1956 in Lowell, Mass. and moved to Charlotte when he was three years old. Bob was graduated from East Mecklenburg High School and Appalachian State University, where he was a proud member of Kappa Alpha fraternity.
He was preceded in death by his mother, June Donovan Brassil. He is survived by his father, Robert Daniel Brassil, brothers, William Daniel Brassil (Selina) and David Breen Brassil (Sandy), nieces and nephews, and so many friends he considered family.
Bob had various positions during his working career. He worked in the fencing industry for over 20 years, ending his career at Maybury Fencing. He was a hard worker and worked until the end.
Bob loved Appalachian State football, Coors Lite, his KA brothers, and most of all his family and many friends. He will be dearly missed.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Harris Hospice Unit at Novant Presbyterian.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 5th at 2:00 in the Chapel of Tribute & Tallent Funeral Service with a reception to visit Bob's Dad at Bill and Selina Brassil's home immediately following.
