Lee Funeral Home - ClintonRobert Glenn Braswell, of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, died of natural
causes at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Md., on Thursday,
November 6, 2025. He was 91 years old.
Mr. Braswell was born in Smithfield, North Carolina on January 29, 1934 to
William F. and Carrie E. Braswell. Mr. Braswell was a veteran of the Korean
War, having served in the United States Army, 3 rd Armored Cavalry, from
1953-1955 and was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal. He
was married on August 26, 1956 to his wife of 58 years, Neda Marie
(Vanni) Braswell.
Mr. Braswell was a Marble, Tile & Terrazzo master craftsman for more than
50 years, and was a life member of the International Union of Bricklayers &
Allied Craftsman, Local 3-DC. He enjoyed farming, fishing, and travelling
following his retirement in 1995.
Mr. Braswell was preceded in death by his wife Neda Marie Braswell;
parents William and Carrie; sisters Lee, Doris, and Peggy, and brothers Bill
and Hank. He is survived by his son Robert Michael Braswell; daughter-in-
law Margaret Braswell; grandchildren Beverly Elizabeth and Robert
William; sister Sue Norris, sister-in-law Silvana Cipriani; several nieces,
nephews, and other relatives, and his German Shepherd dog Bourbon.
Visitation will take place from 10-11 am on Friday, November 21, 2025 at
St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Upper Marlboro, Md., with funeral
Mass at 11 am - Noon. Private burial ceremony will follow at 1pm. In lieu of
flowers, donations to Humane Society of Charles County, in Waldorf,
Maryland are suggested.
