Robert Bruno Obituary
Robert T. Bruno, adored husband and father, son, uncle, brother, brother-in-law, friend and advisor, joined our Lord and savior on June 12, 2012.
Rob was born the son of Tom and Rosemary Bruno on October 18, 1962. He spent the majority of his youth in Ventura, California, where he graduated from Buena Hills High School. Shortly after graduation, he proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corp. Upon his return he entered the beverage industry where he worked for Pacific Beverage Co. He then became associated with the Firestone family and became National Sales Manager for all Firestone Wine and Beers. After being in the wine industry for ten years, Rob decided to follow his dream of becoming a financial advisor. He entered the Financial Management world in 2000. In 2008 he formed his own corporation, Bruno Strategic Wealth Management Inc. Rob quickly gained the respect, trust, and love of all of his clients.
Rob resided in Orcutt, California with his wife Christine, son Anthony, and four daughters Jayne, Alicia, Carolyn, and Ann. He coached his girls in numerous sports and recently coached his son's t-ball team The Raptors.
In addition to his wife and kids, Rob is survived by his mother and father, Thomas and Rosemary Bruno, father-in-law and mother-in-law Ron and Jan Steinfelt , his sister and brother in law Lori and Channing Long, brother in law Mike and Debi Steinfelt, sister in law Debbie Murphee and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Rob will be remembered for his playful sense of humor, sharp wit, kindness, wisdom and insight that were beyond his years. He was a one of a kind devoted husband, father, cherished friend and gifted advisor. Words cannot express the love those he has touched, feel for him. He will live on in our hearts forever and we will cherish every memory.
Visitation will be held Monday, June18, 2012, 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary.
Services will be held at Calvary Chapel of Santa Maria, 2620 Santa Maria Way, on Tuesday June 19th at 9:30am. Graveside services with military honors to follow at Santa Maria Cemetery. There will be a reception at Rooney's Old Town Orcutt at 1:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary, Crematory and Memory Garden.

Back in the early 1990s, Rob and I shared a close friendship that I´ll always cherish. We worked together at PBC and were also roommates during our time living in Santa Paula. Those years left me with some of my best memories-Rob was not only a great colleague but also a loyal and supportive friend.
Next week, I´ll be making a trip from Vero Beach, Florida, to California to pay my respects to Rob and honor the life he lived. He truly was a go-getter in every sense of the word. Whether it was in his professional life, his dedication to triathlons, or most importantly, his role as a devoted family man-Rob gave 100% to everything he did.
I feel fortunate to have known him and shared part of life´s journey with him. He will be deeply missed....Rob Stevens

I am shocked to hear the news. I was Rob's work out partner and he was one of my first friends that I met when I moved to Ventura. Rob was truly a great person, he was caring, thoughtful, athletic, and just an all around true gentleman. We loved to play video baseball after working out (he always beat me). I will miss you Rob! My prayers go out to all of the Bruno family.

I feel honored to have known Rob if only for a short time compared to so many of his friends. What a special person, friend, and neighbor. In my 57 years, I can honestly say that I have never had the pleasure of knowing anyone else who will ever fill those shoes. When this man touched so many of us, a relationship of trust and friendship was immediately forged. We will miss you. Lord, I must respectfully disagree on this one, this world needed him here.

I am in so much shock and am so sad! Coach Rob, you taught my son the fundamentals of baseball! He loved you as his coach and so did we. We could not have asked for a better coach! I can not express how sorry I am for your loss. My family is so lucky to have met Rob a few months ago. He was an amazing T-Ball coach for my son and all the boys on the team. He made their T-Ball season so much fun. Tyler still talks about Coach Rob. Your family is in our prayers.

I am still having a hard time comprehending this tragic news as Rob was always so full of life and positive energy, it's hard to believe and accept that he is no longer with us. Rob and I were lifelong friends, having grown up on the same street together. He helped encourange me to go into the Marine Corps., and I helped encourage him to get into the Financial Services industry. Rob was always a great guy and good friend and a lot of fun to be around. Christine, Rob was such a caring and compassionate man and will always have a special place in our hearts. Rob was one incredible individual and a man that I am so honored to have had the chance to meet in this lifetime. From the proud father, to the loving husband, and the man who never forgot your name, even a server at a little breakfast hub - Rob was one of the best. I know that he must be looking down on us all, anticipating the day we all join him and the "big man" upstairs.

Rob was one of our "favorites" at Kay's Country Kitchen. He always took an interest in what was going on in the lives of the girls who waited on him. We at Kay's are so very sorry for the loss of Rob to his family. We will miss his presence in our place!!

Our deepest sympathy goes out to the whole BRUNO FAMILY. Tom and Rosemary are neighbors of ours, and they are like family to us. Rob's passing was not only a shock, but a very sad event for ALLOT of people. Even though we didn't see Rob a lot, he always had time to say hello, and wanted to know how all of us were doing. He was smart, compassionate, and just a super guy to meet. He surely loved his folks and family very much. We will truly miss his presence in every way-God Bless.
