Robert L. Buchmann, age 98, passed away on November 24, 2025.

Robert was born in Hamilton, Ohio to John and Sarah Buchmann. Robert married Betty Buchmann (nee Moore) of Dayton, Ohio on April 19th, 1953, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Robert is survived by son, Donald (Jill) Buchmann, daughter, Roberta (Jamie) Blanton, five grandchildren; Michael (Katie) Buchmann, Malinda Buchmann, Sarah (Andy) Henchy, Tarin (Justin) Atkins, and Shannon (Patrick) Rowe , six great-grandchildren; Audrey, Clara, Adalyn, Titus, Eden, and Gavin, many dear friends and extended family.

Robert served in the United States Army during WWII. Upon his return he worked at Cincinnati Milacron as an Engineering Draftsman for 36 years.

Robert enjoyed building wooden boat models and was a member of the Maritime Modelers. He was a member of the Anderson Hills Church where he sang in the choir with his wife Betty and was one of the founding members of the ARMM group which helped with various projects around the church and community which he enjoyed very much. Robert enjoyed running, bicycling, sailing, woodworking, leatherworking, baking lemon meringue pies and bread- he was truly a man of many talents. He also liked playing bridge and chess, square dancing with his wife Betty, and playing the harmonica. Family was everything to him.

He will be truly missed by those who knew him.

Memorial donations can be made to the Free Store Food Bank at https://freestorefoodbank.org/, the Alzheimer's Association at https://www.alz.org/, or to The Parkinson's Foundation at https://www.parkinson.org.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th, 2025 from 11:00am-12:00pm at the Arlington Memorial Gardens Lakeside Mausoleum Chapel, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231 (Follow the RED line). A memorial service will follow at 12:00pm. Inurnment will take place at 1:00pm.
