Robert "Rob" C. Buck, 66, of Rochester, MN, formerly of Dodgeville, WI, passed away on January 24, 2025. He was born on October 5, 1958; the son of Robert J. Buck and Sandra R. (Gossard) (Buck) Gisslen.
Rob graduated from Dodgeville High School in 1977, where he lettered in football, basketball, and track as well as being a member of the chess club. He continued to play chess throughout his life and was an avid sports fan, just like his dad.
Rob was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and was stationed in Wiesbaden, Germany. He had various jobs over the years, but his greatest accomplishment was raising his daughter Jillaine. She was his pride and joy. He coached her softball team and enjoyed cheering on her Shining Stars cheer squad.
Rob is survived by his daughter Jillaine; his mother Sandra; his sisters Rebecca Buck, Kristen (Mike) Flanigan, Marylee (Dan) Oleson, and Melissa (Curt) Hames; his brothers Judge Gisslen and Reid Gisslen; his stepmother Nancy Buck; her children Mark (Karla) Hinderman and Karen (Steve) Schultz; numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, beloved uncles, his father Bob Buck and his brother Rich Buck.
In honor of his memory, a donation to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
