Robert Jerome Bugno

Struthers - Prayers will be held Monday at 12:30 PM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Poland Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 PM at Holy Family Church for Jerome "Jerry" Bugno, 58, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away February 17, 2010 at his home from a reoccurrence of pancreatic cancer. Jerry was born November 18, 1951, in Youngstown, the son of Edward and Irene (Yurich) Bugno. He was a 1969 graduate of Ursuline High School. He began his career as a railroad conductor of Penn Central, Conrail and retired with a disability from Norfolk and Southern in 2002. He also was owner and mechanic for Bugno Bros. Auto Repair. Jerry loved to play his guitar and sing at social gatherings and bonfires. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and 4-wheeler, driving his corvette and camping. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren Zoe and Joey especially "creekin". He is survived by his loving wife the former Colleen McGarry, whom he married September 30, 1989 and just celebrated their 20th anniversary; his son Peter Bugno of Struthers; two daughters Amber Bugno and Jennifer Bugno both of Boardman; a stepdaughter Amy Barringer-Shotts of Struthers; a granddaughter Zoe Bugno, a grandson Joseph Belanger; a sister Brenda Budd and three brothers Christopher, Matthew and Joshua Bugno. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents Peter and Mary Yurich; a sister Kaira Shoup; and a brother-in-law Robert McGarry. Family and friends may call Sunday from 12 - 2 PM and from 5 - 8 PM at Higgins-Reardon Funeral Home Poland Chapel.
