Robert L. Bulfer age 75 of Sublette passed away on Friday Nov. 21, 2025 at his home. He was born on Sept. 26, 1950 in Mendota, IL the son of Leo and Cecelia (Salz) Bulfer. Robert worked on his family farm milking cows, V.O. Bonnells & Sons, W.G. Leffelman later known as Johnson Tractor, Sublette Farmers Elevator, the water testor for the Village of Sublette, and drove truck for many local farmers. He was a member of the Sublette Fire Dept., a Village of Sublette Trustee, member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also an active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Sublette volunteering for many different positions including the Finance Council. He loved his tractor collection, dancing, his wife, children, and grandchildren. Robert married Pauline Kellen on Dec. 19, 1980. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Cindy (Dennis) Jones, brother-in-law Harold Pettit, Harold Stenzel, Walt Mielke, Fred (Joan) Schmidt, and sister-in-law Mildred Davidson. Robert is survived by his wife Pauline, daughters Tracy (Jim) Boyle of Amboy, Janelle (Delbert) Stenzel of Sublette, grandchildren Chris (Deanna Dolan) Boyle, Courtney (Luke Negley) Lewis, Jennifer (Sam) Owens, Kelynn (Zach Ori) Boyle, Ben Stenzel, Mike Stenzel, 6 great grandchildren, sisters Patricia Stenzel, Norma (Albert) Borell, Helen Pettit, Betty (David) Dillon, sister-in-law Marcia Mielke, many nieces and nephews, and his dogs Cyrus and Lambeau. Visitation will be on Friday Nov. 28, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Hall in Sublette with a saying of the Rosary at 12:00 PM and again on Saturday Nov. 29, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Funeral services will be on Saturday Nov. 29, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Sublette. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Sublette. A memorial has been established to Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Sublette. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com.
