Robert Allen "Pee Wee" or "Groundhog" Bunn, age 80, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at NHC Oakwood.
He was born September 13, 1945, in Ardmore, Alabama, to the late Walter and Mary Polly Bunn. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Riddle; four brothers, Terry, Lois, Walter "Junebug" and Paul Bunn.
He is survived by his nieces, Mary Riddle of Lewisburg and Martha Riddle of Indiana; nephew, Steven Riddle of Indiana; one brother, Kenneth Bunn; several great nieces and a great nephew.
Pee Wee dedicated a significant portion of his working life to Sanford Manufacturing, where he contributed his skills and hard work until his retirement. After retiring from Sanford Manufacturing, Pee Wee continued to stay active by becoming a self-employed handyman. In his leisure time, Pee Wee enjoyed watching westerns and classic television shows, with "The Beverly Hillbillies" being among his favorites. He was also an enthusiastic sports fan, rarely missing a football game and taking interest in a variety of other sporting events. His love for animals was evident in the way he cared for his dogs, who were constant companions and a source of joy in his daily life. Pee Wee cherished spending time with his friends at the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post. These gatherings were an important part of his routine, providing opportunities for camaraderie and connection with fellow community members.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home and Crematory, 324 W. Church St., Lewisburg, TN 37091, on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm with cremation to follow.
London Funeral Home and Crematory is honored to assist the family with arrangements.
