Robert Wayne Burden

Robert Wayne Burden, 55, of Chickamauga, Georgia, passed away on February 11, 2026. He was born on March 31, 1970, in Fort Benning, Georgia. He attended South Mountain High School in Arizona was of the Baptist Faith. Robert was a loving brother, father, grandfather, and uncle whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Above all, he loved spending time with his family, especially at Sunday dinners. His grandson, Xayden, was truly his pride and joy. He had a strong love for building bridges and metal fabrication. He loved being outdoors, whether fishing, working outside, or simply enjoying the peace of nature.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Rita Victoria Burden; parents, Jimmy and Renate Burden; and his stepdaughter, Tonya Lewis.

Survivors include his siblings, Necey (Wolf) Dewald, Kenny (Connie) Burden, Patty Burden, and Gary (Makayla) Brundl; stepchildren, Tracy Devier and Kevin Owens; his grandchildren, Kristan Devier, Tiffany Lewis, Destiny Lewis, Justina (Josh) Geyer, Haven Devier, Jacob Devier, Karli Owens, Emelyn Owens, and Jill Owens; his great-grandchildren, Xayden Lewis, Jaimyn Lewis, Jalen Hughes, Kadence Hughes; nieces and nephews, Robert Dewald, Savannah (Zach) Milligan, Amanda (Thomas) Porchia, Gabriel Porras, Cody Mast, Brandon Mast, Amber Tate, Michael Burden, David Ship, Landon Ship, Kelsey (Cliff) Gilreath, Alexis (Carlos) Nunez, and Jasmine Montoya; great nephews, Ezio Milligan, Lucas Milligan, Briar Dewald, Topher Mathis, Bentley Cannington, Luke Cannington, Carlos Nunez Jr., Nova Montoya, and Avery Montoya; and brother-in-law, Greg Brown.

The family will receive friends from 2:00p.m.-4:00p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory Rossville, Georgia.
