I read once the original lineup would, from a given song's original idea, create their own parts for it, and to this day, Burns' drumming on, I Ain't The One, is one of the 3 coolest rhythm patterns I've ever heard and - forgive me - I'm kinda a snob about percussion work. The beat goes on Bob & long as it does, your spirit will live on, too. Thanks for the music man & peace.

I consider myself very blessed indeed to have known this wonderful man, Bob Burns. He was one of the most beautiful souls I have ever met. My deepest regrets and sympathy to his family. Bob gave me a book that I will forever treasure. It is a book of Bible verses for your every need. I never new when he gave it to me that one day I would be opening it looking to comfort myself after hearing of his passing. I find comfort and hope that others feeling his loss will do the same in knowing that he is with our Lord, whom he loved very much, and also with his beloved wife Marsha. God bless you Bob, I love and miss you dear friend.

So sorry to hear of this tragic and unexpected death. During this time there will be tears, but please keep in mind that even Jesus gave way to tears when someone he loved died. This occasion was recorded in the Bible at John 11:35.Always remember the good times you shared and there will be laughter too.

You were my first friend without knowing it at age 13... I would wear those first albums out listening to you play over and over...I was so glad to finally meet you and hear you play in person at the 120 Tavern in Marietta...What a kind Man you were meeting and talking to everyone and signing everything... I will cherish those old worn tattered records now because when you signed your name on them you put the word Love and said I was the first person to have that...
