Robert Paul "Bob" Burris, 40 of Peru, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022 at his home.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022, at St Joseph's Catholic Church, Peru with Rev. Gary Blake, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Peru City Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Senica's Oakridge Golf Club with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.
Bob was born October 28, 1981. He was a 1999 graduate of LaSalle Peru Township High School and attended IVCC. At the same time, he embarked on his 22 year career at Walmart Transportation Center where he was an Operations Manager.
On June 11, 2005 Bob married the love of his life, Abbie Hyson. Together they built a beautiful life that encircled their three children; Ella Grace, Brody Mac and Charles Duke Joseph Burris.
You may have had the pleasure of riding by while Bob was tending to his yard and received one of his solo concerts. He loved music and loved to sing. All those that knew Bob well, knew he was a sports fanatic. He loved golfing with his best bud, Dash and his Uncle Victor. But his true pride and joy were his children. He loved coaching them and when he was not working on their home, he was in the yard throwing a ball to one of the boys, sharing Tom Brady stats with Ella and always being a hands on, great dad.
Survivors include his wife, Abbie of Peru, his three children, Ella Grace, Brody Mac, and Charles Duke Joseph; his parents, William Burris and Roberta Lamchick, his paternal grandmother, Linda Burris of Peru; his cherished Uncle Victor and Aunt Gina of LaSalle, his siblings, Kristal (Adam) Meyer of Webster Park, Billy Burris of Spring Valley; Kymberlie (Jaira) Burris of Peru, and Kayte Burris of Spring Valley. His father and mother-in-law, Charley and Nancy Hyson of Peru; sister, brother in law Hillary and Dash Natale of Peru; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Burris.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charley Hyson, Dash Natale, Victor Burris, Patrick Shea, Tony Knaff, Steve Ajster, Nathan Sell, Kevin Klobucher, Joseph Colmone, and Ryan Milus.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established for Bob's children.
