Robert Callery Obituary

Published by Greely Funeral Home on Nov. 24, 2012.
Robert P. Callery III, 52, of Gloucester, husband of Deborah (Rudolph) Cameron, passed away peacefully at home, on Saturday morning, November 24, 2012, with his loving family at his side, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Bob was born in Scranton, PA on October 23, 1960, the son of the late Robert and Nancy (O'Hora) Callery. He graduated from North Andover High School, Class of 1978. He went on to play minor league baseball until an injury prevented home from pursuing a professional career. He then continued on to college. He was a self-employed landscaper for many years and an avid sports fan. He also loved fishing, camping and his beloved Husky, CoCo, who was always at his side. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie, two sisters, Erin Callery Costello of NH and Grace Callery of Vancouver, WA, three nephews, Jay Costello, David and Patrick Blackstock, in-laws, Archie and Phyllis Rudolph of Gloucester and Best Friend, Jim Broadley, who was with him until the end. Besides his parents, he was pre deceased by his sister, Megann Callery-Blackstock. In keeping with Bob's wishes there are no visiting hours and burial will be held privately. Arrangements for a celebration of his life are being made and will be announced shortly. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be warmly welcomed to: Debbie Rudolph-Cameron, 4 ½ Perkins St. Gloucester, MA 01930. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester, MA.
