Robert H. Canavan, 37, passed away suddenly on March 13, 2026. Born on January 30, 1989, Robert lived his life to the fullest filled with love and laughter. While his time on earth was far too short, those who knew him take comfort in God's promise of peace and eternal rest.

Robert was known for his quick humor, his love for a good time, and his ability to bring laughter into any room. He had a deep passion for sports and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams or enjoying a game with family and friends. He loved football Sundays with the family cheering on the Jets. Any spare time he had, Robert could be found at the gym. Those who knew him will remember not only his sense of humor, but also his kind heart and the way he made everyone feel welcome.

Robert was a 2007 graduate of Kingston High School and then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He dedicated his professional life to caring for others through his career in nursing and working in the emergency room. Robert approached his work with compassion and commitment, always striving to bring comfort and dignity to those he served.

Above all, Robert was a loving father. He is survived by his five beloved children. He leaves behind his oldest child Wesley. Also, Jace and Jade whom he shared with Jenna Moretti. And his youngest Charlotte, and Paisley, whom he shared with Alyssa Howard and her other daughter Savannah Cordeiro. His children were the center of his world and his greatest pride.

Robert was deeply loved by his parents, Linda and Robert Canavan, whose lives were forever blessed by his presence. He also leaves behind his cherished siblings: Amy Canavan; Cassandra (Nick) Logan; Kristy Nissen; Melanie (Thomas) Seay; Chloe (Spencer) Lane; and Carly (Dominick) Marino.

He was predeceased by his beloved grandparents, his sister Kimberly Canavan, and his brother-in-law Travis Nissen.

Robert also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who adored him. His life touched many, and he will be remembered for his laughter, his caring heart, and the joy he brought to those around him.

May God welcome him into eternal peace, and may his family and loved ones find comfort in His love during this difficult time.

Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers and donations, the family asks that you honor Robert by performing an act of kindness in his name.
