Patty, Please let me expree my deepest condolences to you, your family, Cathy & Bob for the loss of your Father. It is never easy to lose a loved one. I knew your Dad as a loving & devoted husband and father. I am certain he was an outstanding Grand-Father too.
In addition to these qualities, he was also a Hero. The men and women of his generation made unbelievable sacrifices so you and I and our kids can live in freedom.
I remember the fun I had talking to both your parents at your home and when they would both come into the Red Owl for thier weekly grocery shopping. Plus your Dad never made me pay-up on the bets we had with each other whenever Benilde played Cretin in football. I don't think Benilde ever won one of those games.
All the best to you and may God Bless you and your whole family.
Sincerely, Rick

Bishop Carlson, Cathy, Patty, and what must be a wonderful group of grandchildren and great grandchildren:
I'm in Florida and just heard of Bob's death. I'm another Prudential retiree who had many great years working with Bob, and getting to know Jeanne. He--actually both of them--will be missed, but they are together now. My best to all of you.

Dear Patty,
I'm so sad to hear about the death of your father. I have fond memories of him. I remember talking with him, along with some of the other guys, like Ghizoni or Ricky Roth down at 54th and Lyndale one summer night and he was chiding us calling us "drugstore cowboys." He was a good and virtuous man.
I remember your party in ninth grade or whenever it was, and playing Beatle albums in your basement and meeting your parents there. Fun!
God bless you Patty, and your sister and brother, during this time of bereavement. May you and he and your mother and all of us merrily meet again one day in the presence of the Holy Trinity.
Sincerely,
Michael Bird

Bishop, Cathy & Patty,
We feel so fortunate to have known your dad (and mom). He had such a great sense of humor and wonderful way of making people feel at ease. But most of all I am grateful for having witnessed his inspirational love for your mom. What a wonderful reunion they must be having in heaven. Please know of our prayers for you and your family. Dear Patty,
I was deeply saddened to receive your email concerning your Father's passing. I was transported back to our grade school days where my memories of your Father are held. His presence there is one that is safe, warm, welcoming and encouraging.
Sadly, you begin another phase in life....I am here if you need to talk.
Love,
Donna
