Robert Chichester Obituary
Robert Dean Chichester (Bob) was born November 11, 1945, and passed away December 13, 2023 with his family by his side. He was the son of Robert Walter Chichester and Marjorie Archer Chichester, brother of the late Larry Wayne Chichester, all of Vienna, WV. A graduate of Parkersburg High School (1963) and West Virginia University, he joined the Army soon after, and then had a long career at Bell Atlantic/ Verizon before his retirement.
Bob met his beloved wife, Marian Bailey Chichester, at WVU and they married in 1968. They enjoyed 55 years together. Bob is also survived by his daughters, Kristin Lee Chichester and Kari Chichester Price, son-in-law Scott Milton Price, as well as 4 grandchildren who were the lights of his life: Quinn Morgan Donovan, Todd Robert Price, Lucy Jane Price and Maeve Riley Donovan. He was their beloved "Baba".
Bob's special and lasting impact will be on his family. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. He took those roles seriously and was always there for anyone with wisdom and advice mixed in with a slice of dry humor. He was an accomplished woodworker and loved playing golf. As an avid reader, he read over 100 books a year. He enjoyed Coors Light, oysters, buffalo wings and Elvis. We are so grateful for the time we had with him, and he will forever live in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Robert D. Chichester's name to the Polycystic Kidney Foundation.
