Robert Dale "Bob" Christie, 67, of Barnesville, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February, 5, 2026 at Ohio Health Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Bob was born on February 25, 1958 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Charles William and Edna Susan (Keener) Christie.

 Bob was a 1976 graduate of Barnesville High School. Following high school he attended the Martins Ferry Police School and served as an officer for both the Barnesville Police Department and the Bridgeport Police Department. He later worked for and retired from the Belmont Correctional Institution as a Corrections Officer. Bob enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, and spending time with his nieces and nephews, he was a "certified greeter" at his nephews shop, Main Screen Printing. You could find Bob out frequently having dinner at Schlepps with Bill Artrip and Fred Thompson. He always ended his day with a McDonalds coffee and a lap around town.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Christie. 

Bob is survived by his siblings, Dave (Eonjoo) Christie, Mike (Dawn) Christie, and Kathy (Adam) Kunko; sister-in-law, Lorri Christie; special nephew, Steven (Kelsey) Christie; special niece, Stephanie (Colton) Davis; many nieces, nephews, a great-niece, Emilia and a great-nephew, Easton; and his dog, Lady.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 3:00pm until the time of the service at 6:00p. with Reverend Tom Detling officiating at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio.
