Al Heitzman and wife Mary
May 11, 2022
Dear Linda, Russ, Doug, and the Cichon family,
May the Holy Trinity bless and console you during your bereavement as Uncle Bob's soul enters the Kingdom of Heaven to eternally dwell with our Savior Jesus Christ. Never have I EVER met a man who was finer, more dignified, more respected by EVERYONE around him, and more humble than my Aunt Gloria's husband of 61 years, Robert Frank Cichon. My cousin Doug Cichon's poignant and eloquent eulogy on May 10, 2022 during Uncle Bob's funeral at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Colonie, New York allowed all in attendance to feel and understand the unparalleled INTEGRITY, SELFLESSNESS, and SACRIFICE FOR OTHERS with which Uncle Bob routinely conducted himself. There is AN ANGEL right now knocking on the front door of the Pearly Gates of Heaven, and the Good Lord is about to allow Uncle Bob's soul to be reunited with his soulmate of 61 years, Gloria Shirley Heitzman, and to experience the grace and peace of our Almighty Father into perpetuity. Reverentially and with complete condolence, nephew Al Heitzman and wife Mary. XXXOOO

I will always cherish the memories spent in Bob's and Gloria's company. Always such a warm, thoughtful, kind and hospitable man, whom I loved and respected dearly. Leonard so often reminisced about the times he spent with his older brother--fishing, playing cards weekly with Bob and the Heitzman family and just hanging out together. He was very proud of being Linda's godfather. Although we lived a continent apart, Bob and Gloria always conveyed their love and kindness, and even after Len's and Gloria's passing, the holidays still brought Bob's thoughtful and kind words. You are in my prayers, and I will always lovingly remember you, Bob.
