Robert Clayburn Obituary

June 20, 2025. He was born on September 19, 1955, in Memphis, where he spent his life
surrounded by family and friends who loved him dearly.
Bobby is survived by his devoted siblings: sisters Pearl Ellis of Detroit, Michigan; Flora
Thornton of Memphis, Tennessee; and Teresa Ellis (Thomas) of La Plata, Maryland; and
brothers Leonard Ellis and Marciano Ellis, both of Memphis, Tennessee, and Otis Clayburn Jr. of
Minnesota.
Bobby retired from Memphis City/Shelby County School System as a Building Engineer
Bobby will be remembered for his kind heart, bright smile and laughter, and unwavering love for
his family. His presence brought warmth and comfort, and he will be deeply missed by all who
knew him.
A memorial service will be at R.S. Lewis and Sons Funeral Home 374 Vance Avenue, Memphis,
Tennessee 38126 on Saturday June 28, 2025 @ 2pm. by the family to celebrate Bobby's life and
legacy. There will be no viewing.
