I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Combe. I will never forget his firm handshake, his big smile and his booming voice (most likely used when we were doing something wrong ). Mr Combe was never just helping us navigate the path to college but he was a partner and advocate. I knew he cared about me. He just cared about all of us! I will keep Mr Combe and his family in my thoughts and prayers tonight.

Bob helped me feel prepared for comparing and applying for and choosing a college - something that felt impossibly overwhelming at the time. He took the time to get to know me personally and made me think about things my guidance counselor at school would never have bothered to mention. It was more than just a "good school", but a good school for "me". He was a wonderful man, an incredible friend to my grandparents and uncle, and he will be missed. All my love to his family <3

Mr. Combe was born to counsel, guide and support others. As I entered his office, he was always smiling, happy, upbeat, ever positive. He was easy to talk to, and he listened to you, taking a genuine interest in you, what you had to say, how things were going, and how could he help you. As the saying goes, I may have forgotten what exactly he said to me nearly 40 years ago, but I will never forget how he made you feel. When I left his office, I always felt better, like I was on the right track. The power of love and support. How fortunate and blessed to be guided by him, and so many like him, in one special place.

Bob was the best guidance counselor and compassionate human being I have ever met. Being a lost kid in those days I felt his compassion and caring which has contributed to the success I have today. I consider it a gift having known him. Thank you Bob!

Sorry to hear about his passing. Has him as a teacher, advisor and drivers ed teacher. One on road lesson involved giving a lift to two fellow students who lived in Gloucester. We turned unto the on ramp for 128 north st rt 62. I had trouble on the ramp and ended up running the stop sign . Mr Combe slammed the brake and yelled. "Haven´t you driven on the highway before? I have a wife
and kids!" I meekly replied that I never have driven on the highway before. Mr. Combe apologized and calmed a very terrified driver! He taught me very well and I am forever grateful.
