Robert Richard Connolly, also fondly known as "Mr. C," passed away on June 6, 2024, in Plantation, FL, at the age of 89. He was born on May 21, 1935, in New York City, NY. Robert will always be remembered for his vibrant personality that lit up any room he walked into. His sense of humor was unparalleled, and he even coined the phrase "Connolly Sarcasm," leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

In his professional life, Robert was a proud member of the Operating Engineers Union and the Owner and Operator of Alcon, Inc. He also served his country honorably in the United States Army. Beyond his work life, Robert had a wide range of hobbies and interests that brought him joy. From fishing, diving, and boating, to tinkering in the shed, he found pleasure in the simple things in life like trips to the Marlin Bar and enjoying a cold beer with loved ones.

Robert's proudest accomplishments include celebrating 60 years of marriage with his beloved bride, Judith Connolly and raising three wonderful children: Helen Tribble, Robert Connolly, and Karen King. He was also blessed with three adoring grandchildren: William Tribble, and Robert and Ryan Connolly. His love of the ocean started a family vacation tradition to the Florida Keys that has spanned over 40 years. This tradition will live on through his children and his legacy will be continued.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Helen Connolly, his sister Jacqueline Connolly, and his brothers Daniel and Frank Connolly. He is survived by his loving wife Judith; children Helen (Bill Tribble), Robert (Dawn Marie Connolly), and Karen (Danny King); grandchildren William Tribble, Robert and Ryan; sister Gloria Connolly Shea; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Throughout his life, Robert touched the hearts of many with his infectious spirit and zest for life. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing that he leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
