Robert Thomas "Tom" Cooksey

Tommy Cooksey was one of those players that you never forget and always appreciate what GT and being a part of a team meant to him. We had many moments of laughter and friendship together. I always was proud for him and proud of him.

Dear Cindy,

Diana and I extend our heartfelt condolences to you and your wonderful family.

Tom was a hard working family man who lived life to the fullest. Very tough and very kind. If there was ever a guy who you knew had your back, it was him.

I have so many great memories of living life with him especially attending the 1990 GT vs UVA football game in Charlottesville when GT won a thriller and paved the way for our national championship that year.

It is encouraging to know he is with our Lord now after a life well lived.

We know God´s comforting hand is on you and your precious sons.
