Robert Neil Cooper, son of John and Margaret (Tyrell) Cooper, was born on December 13, 1953, in Pontiac, Michigan. He passed away on April 24, 2025, in Mountain Grove, Missouri at the age of 71 years, 4 months, and 11 days.

As a young man, he moved to Missouri in 1975. After receiving his certification as a Nurse’s Aid, he served the communities of Mountain Grove and Cabool for many years, employed at nursing homes in both cities.

Upon moving to his beloved new hometown, he became a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church that same year. During his lifetime, he faithfully attended services at this local parish.

He also enjoyed several other types of activities. One such diversion was that of outdoor gardening, along with his brother. Over the years, many wonderful hours were spent cultivating the ground and encouraging plants to grow and thrive. He also enjoyed his coffee and driving around town visiting with people, were also some of his favorite pastimes that filled his life with meaning and joy.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Dan and John Cooper, Jr., one sister, Donna Cooper, two nephews, Mike Cooper and Jason Cooper.

He is survived by two sisters, Mary Heikkila and Susan Robertson, and her husband Mark. Along with them, he will be missed by nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and many other extended family and friends.
