I also served with then-Major Crittenden in Vietnam in the 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry. He was a superb officer, a real leader, and a man of integrity ... a role model for all. May he rest in peace in the arms of our Lord.

I was his assistant operations officer in the 1-5 Cav in Vietnam. He was a superb example of leadership and integrity. I learned a lot from him. RIP

We were deeply sorry to hear the sad news of your father´s passing & we are praying for your family. Bob & Emily were fellow balcony dwellers with us at Trinity Church. They were a very special couple & we grieved with Bob when his precious Emily passed away. He was an amazing man with an illustrious military career and I know you are so very proud of the legacy that he has left for you & your children. He loved you dearly and spoke with such affection about his wonderful family. We have missed him since he moved away and we have tried to keep up but were not aware of his health decline.
Bob was a strong Christian who loved the Lord & I know you are comforted in knowing that he sees his Savior face to face. Please accept our deepest sympathy. He was a special friend & we are thankful for his friendship when he was here in Montgomery. " Well done good & faithful servant."
