Born in Columbia, SC, Mr. Crout was the son of the late Welton & Juanita Browder Crout. He was a long-time member of The Cathedral Community Church. Mr. Crout served our country in the United States Air Force.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by their children, Christi Padgett, and Linda Brown; six grandchildren, Curtis Padgett (Natsuko), Jacqueline Finnie (Christopher), Richard Padgett (Susannah), Katie Brown, Josh Brown, and Robbie Brown; and seven great-grandchildren, Angelina Padgett, Tiffany Padgett, Grace Padgett, Elijah Finnie, Paxton Finnie, Vivienne Padgett, and Oliver Padgett.
Mr. Crout was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Ann Crout; a son-in-law, Michael Padgett; and his sister, Dot Skinner.
Interment will be private for the family in M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 3:00 pm at The Cathedral Community Church, 130 Neely Ferry Rd., Mauldin, SC 29662. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: The Cathedral Community Church.
