Robert J. Dachowski Sr.

Robert J. Dachowski, Sr. (86) passed away on August 31, 2025. Bob or "Bobby D" was the son of the late John and Helen (Hall) Dachowski. Bob attended Bishop Bradley High School, class of 1957 and attended the Northeast Broadcasting School in Boston. He had a lifelong career as a disc jockey, both on the radio and at area dances, most recently, "The Bobby D Rock 'n Roll Caravan Show" on WNHN-FM.

In August,1964, Bob married Claire Morin from Laconia, NH. They were married almost 55 years when Claire passed away in February, 2019. Together they built their careers as small business owners. Besides being a DJ, Bob worked at Genest Ford, owned and operated Rob's Recon, and Action Advertising. He was a weekly communicant at Blessed Sacrament parish and lived his Cursillo in 2003.

Bob is survived by his two sons, Robert J. Dachowski, Jr (wife, Claudette) of Manchester, NH and Jeffrey A. Dachowski (wife, Carolle) of Bedford, NH and their three grandchildren, Christopher, Audra, and Lauren, his sister, Marjorie Leutwiler (husband, Robert Senk) of Rowley, MA, two other brothers-in-law, George Morin (wife, Carol) of Laconia, NH, and Scott Gray (deceased wife, Rachel (Morin) of The Villages, FL, and many nieces and nephews and cousins. Bob is predeceased by his brothers, John and George Dachowski, and sisters, Mary White, Carol Bell, Jean Preston, and Pauline Gracyalny.

Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, September 7th from 4-7 pm at Phaneuf Funeral Home, 243 Hanover St., Manchester, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, September 8th at 10 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Elm St., Manchester, NH. Burial will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Bedford, NH.
