Robert Herman Darr

Robert Herman Darr, age 92 of Monroe, LA transitioned Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Home in Monroe. He was a native of Hazen, AR, and of the Baptist faith. He was a retired First Sargent in the United States Army where he served for over twenty years including during the Vietnam Conflict.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Ramona and Rita Darr, sisters, Mary Ann and Carolyn Boyd, parents, J. T. Darr and Monitte Boyd. Robert loved fishing and hunting especially hunting elk in Colorado.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Brenda Lee Darr of Oak Grove, LA, two sons, Randall Darr "Annette" of Hamburg, and Robert Darr, Jr., of Waynesville, MO., daughter Robin Drennon "Sonny" of St. Robert, MO, and adopted daughter, Monica Crenshaw "Jerry" of Oak Grove, LA, one brother, Steve Chupp "Joy" of Stella, MO, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, other family members, and friends.

Graveside Services will be on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 11:00 A. M. at Ladelle Cemetery in LaDelle, AR with Bro. David Bostian officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Julian Huante, Daren Cason, Kyle Cockrell, Jerry Crenshaw, Roger Chavis and Allen Chavis. Burial will follow at LaDelle Cemetery under the direction of Cromwell Funeral Home.
